Why United Way?

We Are Local
Health and human service agencies and programs in Collier County benefit from United Way funds. Ninety-nine percent of the money raised each year stays in our community. The remainder is provided to our state and national organizations for the guidance and technical assistance they provide.

We Make a Difference
United Way’s partners address priority needs in our community, such as at-risk youth and disaster relief services.

We Make Giving Easy
How else can you give to 31 charities that provide hundreds of life changing programs and services in our community through one simple gift?

We Are Accountable
The finance and audit committees (made up of volunteer financial professionals) oversee accounting functions, audit procedures and financial reporting. An independent accounting firm annually audits United Way of Collier County’s financial records and prepares the organization's Form 990 tax return. The finance committee, audit committee and board of directors review both documents prior to release. Click here for more information.

Recommendations for funding agency programs and services are provided annually through teams of community volunteers, made up of hundreds of independent business professionals, community leaders and retirees who provide a thorough evaluation of each agency and the value they bring to the community.

We Are Trustworthy
Founded in 1957, United Way of Collier County has formed a reputation as an organization you can trust.

We Are Worthwhile
Your participation will provide help, hope, opportunity and positive change in the lives of thousands in need within our community. Plus, you never know if someday you too might need the services of a United Way agency.
