Don Scott

Donald has been a resident of Naples since 1980 and is currently a member of the Moran Edwards Asset Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC. Originally from the New Haven, CT area, Donald graduated from Trinity College and then served as a U.S. Air Force pilot.

Donald has been involved in the Naples Community for many years. He has served as a member of the Naples Yacht Club of Directors, and as the first president of the YMCA endowment fund. Donald was a member of the committee that introduced the Tocqueville Society for United Way of Collier County, and he is the Founder and President of Volunteer Collier from 2008-2014 before it merged with UWCC.

After spending more than 15 years flying airplanes in the USAF and Pan Am, Donald gave up flying for boating in 1983, joined the Naples Yacht Club and later became the commodore. He is still active on several charitable boards and at his church, and although retired from the financial services industry he is still interested in helping people with their retirement plans and promoting the needs of the ALICE population.

He has been retired for three years, and he and his wife, Gale, will be moving to a retirement home in November of 2018. They don’t plan to let retirement stop them, and they remain active with United Way to help the financially needy of Collier County. Together with Gale he has two daughters and four granddaughters.
