Chris Wright, P.E. is the co-founder of RWA, Inc. and has served as CEO since 1999. Chris has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate development industry and 25 years of experience as a registered professional civil engineer. Within the public sector, Wright focuses on civil engineering infrastructure projects in utilities, transportation, and water resources, as well as municipal-use facilities projects. In the private sector he enjoys working with national home builders to create new residential neighborhoods and with developer clients that specialize in commercial projects and the redevelopment of existing sites.
Chris is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and has served as the ULI Southwest Florida District Council Chair since 2017. Chris has also been a ULI Management Committee Member for the last 10 years and he has served on several other ULI Committee leadership positions, including chair of the ULI Southwest Florida Infrastructure Committee, Sponsorship Committee, and Business Development Committee. At the ULI state level he has been active as well by co-authoring a ULI publication titled “Connecting Florida”; he served a five year term on the Florida Product Council Executive Committee, which included the establishment of the FPC program in the state of Florida; was a five year member of the multi-family FPC; and also served on the very first planning committee for the Florida Summit in 2012. Chris is also an active member of other industry related professional organizations including, the America Council of Engineering Companies, the Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers, and the Florida Engineering Society.
In addition to his professional work, he has served on the United Way of Collier County Board of Directors for over 20 years in a variety of leadership roles including Board Chair 2017-2018, during which time the Board created and adopted its new 2020 Strategic Plan. He has also served on their strategic planning committee, as Chair of the Governance Committee and is a current member of the Business Development Committee. He formed Naples’ first Rotary Club for young professionals and under his two-year tenure as president the club successfully completed over a half dozen community service projects. He is also a graduate of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce Leadership Collier and has been involved in the Collier County Education Foundation and as an Advisory Council Member for the Naples High School Engineering Academy.
Chris is a proud alumnus of the University of Florida where he graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. He is married to Kristen Wright, a Southwest Florida Realtor specializing in residential real estate in Naples and Marco Island, and is the proud father of three children.
