The mission of Catholic Charities of Collier County, Diocese of Venice, Inc,. is to fight poverty, strengthen families and build communities. Agency services and programs ensure human dignity and enhance the quality of life for all persons regardness of race, creed, color or religious affiliation.
Programs United Way Supports at Catholic Charities of Collier County
Catholic Charities provides non-denominational mental health counseling to children, adults, couples, and families to adress issues such as anxiety and depression, anger, sexual abuse, relational difficulties, situational stress and substance abuse.
What Their Volunteers Do
Catholic Charities have over 500 current volunteers who assist as Board members, Emerald Ball Committee members, direct assistance and case management volunteers, pantry workers, etc.
What Dollars Do
•$20 provides a back pack and school supplies for one child for one year
•$30 provides a Christmas of Thanksgiving holiday basket
•$45 provides a 40LB bag of food given out at the Food Pantry
•$100 provides 6 months of weekend food supplies for a homeless elementary school child.
•$180 provides one month of utilities for a family
•$300-$500 stabilize a family at risk of homelessness
•$1000 provides 6 months of prescriptions
•$1200 pays for 6 months of mental health counseling
