What Do They Do?

Children's Advocacy Center of Collier Conty works to create a community where child abuse is not tolerated. The agency strives to improve the lives of abused children in Collier County.

 

What Their Voulnteers Do

Interns from Florida Gulf Coast University are utilized every semester. The interns assist in the Family Safety Program and Sexual Abuse Treatment Program, supervising visitation and attending court or trained as intern therapists (Master’s level students). They may also participate in case staffing and case reviews provide clients with information and make follow-up telephone calls when appropriate.

What Dollars Do

•$25 Clothing for “Olivia’s Closet” (clothing for children who have to leave the CAC in other clothing or are being removed from their home and need a set of clothing)
•$90 Parenting class
•$125 Counseling session
•$350 Medical evaluation
•$600 Psychological evaluation
